Tips for easily Starting YOUR STORY:

1) Open a blank document (or dedicated paper notebook).

2) Save it with (or write on the notebook cover) a title ("My Story" or some such).

3) Do NOT start writing in prose! DO NOT DO LIKE THIS: "I take pen in hand as the moon of life wains blah blah blah. . ." Instead, just create a bullet list with short phrases or sentences, like this:

-1969: Born in a shack in Tumtum.

-1978: Ran away from home twice, back before supper, no one knew.

-1988: Car accident episode.

-1990: Building our first house.

4) Expand on your individual bullet points as you are motivated to do so.

Bonus Tip: Copy events or memories you wrote on your social media, then paste them into your story document (Word document, notebook, etc.).

I am here to help you write, edit, and proofread your story - all to prepare it for others to read.
